Data Engineer Job – Snowflake Platform

EP Wealth Advisors is a leading wealth management firm with over $40.5 billion in assets. We are launching a strategic project to build our first-ever enterprise data platform using Snowflake. This is a unique opportunity for a Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in creating a modern data infrastructure from the very beginning.

You will work closely with our internal teams and an expert Snowflake implementation partner to design and build a platform that will power firmwide analytics and decision-making.

Build a Foundational Data Platform from the Ground Up

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year plus annual bonus
Job Type: Full-Time

You will be a key contributor in the design, development and implementation of our new cloud-based data environment. Your work will establish best practices and build scalable data pipelines. You will ensure our platform is secure, efficient and ready to support the future of our business.

Your Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with a Snowflake implementation partner to design, configure and deploy the new enterprise data platform.
Develop and maintain secure and scalable ETL and ELT data pipelines to bring data into Snowflake.
Integrate data from key business systems like CRM, portfolio management and financial planning tools.
Define and enforce best practices for performance optimization, cost management and data security.
Implement data validation and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues to maintain system performance.
Work with data analysts and technology teams to deliver well-documented and accessible data sets.
Participate in architectural discussions and planning sessions with both internal and external teams.

What You Need to Succeed

Required Qualifications and Skills:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related technical field.
Direct hands-on experience with the Snowflake data platform is strongly preferred.
Experience contributing to a cloud data platform implementation with external partners.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake query optimization.
Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for data processing.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration platforms like DBT or Airflow.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
Experience integrating data from enterprise systems like Salesforce.
A strong understanding of data governance, security and access policies.
The ability to bridge technical details with business needs through collaboration.
