Controller / VP of Finance job: Trusted Home Service Partners (THSP) is a private-equity backed group focused on acquiring and growing home service businesses in the HVAC, plumbing and electrical markets.

We are building a market-leading company through a proven acquisition strategy. We are looking for a Controller/VP of Finance to own our financial operations and lead the integration of newly acquired businesses. This is a high-impact role for a strategic leader ready to drive growth and build efficient financial systems.

Lead Finance for a High-Growth, Private Equity-Backed Company

Your Mission as VP of Finance

You will report directly to the President and be responsible for the entire financial reporting and consolidation process for our corporate entity and all subsidiary companies. You will build and lead the financial integration for every business we acquire ensuring a seamless transition into our company. Your work will provide the accurate and timely financial data needed to guide our high-growth strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the General Ledger and financial reporting for the entire corporate structure.
  • Lead the financial integration process for all acquired businesses including vendor transfers and bank account setup.
  • Build, implement and manage efficient financial processes and procedures for a complex, growing organization.
  • Research and implement new financial systems and technology to increase operational efficiency.
  • Plan and manage the company’s annual financial audit.
  • Assist in developing and mentoring the accounting team.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment driven by acquisitions.

What You Need to Succeed

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and an active CPA certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with small to mid-size, multi-location companies.
  • Experience at the Controller or VP Finance level or you are ready to take that next step in your career.
  • Proven experience with full General Ledger and Financial Reporting responsibility.
  • Experience building and approving accounting policies in a high-growth setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing company financial audits.
  • The ability to multi-task and consistently meet strict deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must be local to the greater Dallas, Texas area.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in a business that grows through acquisitions (M&A).
  • Experience with the financial onboarding of merged or acquired companies.
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field management software.
  • Previous experience in a private equity-backed portfolio company.
