Contracts Engineer Job – Mining Project
We are seeking a dedicated Contracts Engineer to join a major project team in Reqo Diq, UK. This is a hands-on role for a legal professional who excels in the details of contract administration.
You will be the key person ensuring that all project contractual obligations are met, documented and communicated effectively. This position offers a unique rotation schedule that providing a balanced work-life structure.
Manage Major Project Contracts in a Dynamic Mining Environment

Schedule:Â Rotation (28 days on site / 14 days off)
Your primary purpose is to manage and administer project contracts from start to finish. You will ensure that all correspondence, variations and potential claims are properly handled and documented. Your work will directly support the project’s financial and operational success by minimizing risk and ensuring compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and maintain accurate records for all project contracts and subcontracts.
- Draft and issue official correspondence, notices and letters to contractors and suppliers.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure all milestones and deliverables are met on time.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Site Engineers to ensure full contract compliance.
- Identify, track and document potential contract variations and claims for timely submission.
- Support the negotiation of contract terms and conditions with vendors and partners.
- Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, project procedures and client requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date contract logs and prepare regular status reports for management.
- Assist in risk assessment and help resolve any contractual disputes that arise.
What You Will Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration.
- Proven experience within EPC, mining or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of FIDIC or similar international contract forms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a deep understanding of contractual obligations.
Work Schedule and Location
This is an on-site position based at the project location in Reqo Diq, UK. The role follows a rotation schedule of 28 days on site followed by 14 days off. This schedule allows for deep focus during the work rotation and substantial time for rest and personal life during your off period.
