Your day will be busy and full of different tasks.
Your main job is to create a positive and welcoming experience for everyone who comes through our doors. You are the heart of the hospital’s first impression.
You will greet every patient and visitor with a kind and professional manner. You will help new patients with the registration process. This means you will collect their personal information and insurance details. It is very important that you enter this information correctly into our computer system. You will make sure all their details are accurate and up to date.
You will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments. You will work with our scheduling system to find times that work for both the patient and the doctor. You will help manage the flow of patients throughout the day. You will answer a high volume of phone calls. You will direct calls to the correct departments or staff members. You will provide basic information to callers and assist them with their questions.
You will also handle various office duties. This includes filing paperwork making photocopies and entering data. A big part of your job involves managing patient medical records. You must handle these records with great care and confidentiality. Patient privacy is our top priority.
The most important part of your job is providing excellent customer service. You will listen to people’s concerns and help solve their problems. You will answer their questions about hospital services and directions. You will help calm nervous patients and guide confused visitors. What You Need to Qualify for This Job
